FMS Student Council Spreads Kindness at Fountain Valley Senior Center
FMS student council showed its true colors at the Fountain Valley Senior Center for Kindness Week. These bright and kind students spent the morning doing Valentine's crafts and coloring with senior citizens.
Students and seniors had fun doing a wide variety of activities such as playing cards, dominos, and aerobic dancing in chairs. Some students even say the dancing was their favorite part.
FMS teachers credit the students with the idea, saying they wanted a meaningful act of community service. While not intentionally planned as part of the school’s Kindness Week, teachers say it did align well and tied into the community aspect of kindness for the students.
These wonderful students' kindness won’t stop here as they plan to visit the senior center at the beginning of May to plant flowers and have fun all over again.
